In January of 2018, about five minutes into the second performance of a two-hour play, I had my first panic attack--on stage. The year that followed was something I could have never predicted and would never wish on anyone, but that gave me some of the greatest gifts of my life.
My first time back on stage will be in The Next Stage (working title), a show about that year that's part memoir and part exposure therapy. Above all else, though, it's an effort to create community for those of us suffering from mental illness and make everyone feel a little less crazy and a little less alone.
